Introduction

Overview of the POSey System

The POSey System is the most in-depth and comprehensive software
available for the IBM compatible point-of-sale market.__Complex in its
capabilities, it makes setup and data entry easy compared to the
conventional electronic cash register.__The POSey dealer package also
contains demo data files which allow you to quickly install and run the
software with a minimum of programming.

POSey Point of Sale centers around a full-function computer cash register
system which may include inventory control, open account/accounts receivable
processing, time and attendance record keeping, and a host of other
features.

Using This Manual

This manual is your first step in understanding the POSey System.__It
contains information about every part of the POSey software, and is
designed to answer as many questions as possible.

POSey Point of Sale is a computer based system which runs under the
MS-DOS operating system.__This manual is intended to instruct you in the
installation, setup, and operation of the POSey software.__It is assumed
that you already have an understanding of the MS-DOS operating system . . .
if necessary, refer to your DOS manual.__You should also have some working
knowledge of cash register functions.

One of the features of the POSey package is that it may be customized and
programmed by the dealer for specific customer applications.__Therefore, in
addition to this manual, the dealer may find it beneficial to prepare a user
manual for his customer, describing how the system is programmed and
outlining specific procedures that should be followed.
